Independent, Commercial Only, Run by the Person Who Answers the Phone

I am Jason Lopez. I place commercial coverage for small businesses and contractors across the Miami metro, in English and Spanish.

Zenith Insurance Brokers is an independent commercial property and casualty brokerage in Miami. I am not limited to representing one insurance company, so I can approach multiple markets, find the carriers that are interested in your type of business, and compare what they are willing to offer.

How I Got Here

I grew up around this business. My family ran an insurance agency, so long before I was licensed I was hearing the questions business owners asked, seeing how policies were put together, and learning how much the details matter when coverage is actually needed.

I spent three years in property and casualty there before I started Zenith. Running my own business changed the way I look at insurance because I deal with the same kinds of decisions my clients do: expenses, contracts, obligations, and the consequences of getting something wrong.

When I ask what concerns you about your business, I am not just reading questions from an application.

How I Work

I tell you what I could not place, and why.

A declination can be useful information. If several carriers pass on your class of business and provide feedback, I explain what I can learn from it before you assume the remaining quote is simply overpriced.

I read the contract exhibit with you.

Required limits, additional insured wording, waiver of subrogation, and other insurance requirements can materially affect what you need to carry. I would rather review those provisions before the contract is signed than discover later that the policy does not satisfy the agreement.

I say no to work that is not a fit.

I do not write personal lines, and I will tell you when another broker is better positioned for what you need. Sending you somewhere useful costs me nothing and saves you from wasting time in the wrong place.
